In order to enhance our secure mobility, we evaluated and developed compliance policies for data security, device integrity and compliance.
After testing these policies with an initial test user group, we are expanding the pilot testing by applying the changes to your mobile devices this Tuesday (04/19) to better assess the policy setting implications.
Compliance Requirements
If your company-managed device doesn’t meet the compliance policy requirements, you will have a grace period of (7) days to make your device compliant again as shown below:
Please note the new policy has a minimum password length of 6 and you might be required to change your password if you currently have anything less or even if your current passcode meets the length requirement.
Even though your device is marked as non-compliant, you will still have access to the company’s resources such as cloud applications and services.
You will receive emails and push notifications from Microsoft to instruct you to open the Comp Portal app on your device in order to view the compliance remediation actions as shown below:
Additionally, we are deploying Cisco Security application to provide network traffic visibility and block connections to malicious sites.
For example, after clicking on a phishing link within a text message, your device will be protected by Umbrella and Clarity (Advanced Malware Protection) as shown below.
