Below are the instructions to use TSMC VPN. VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a technology that allows your computer to be on TSMC network even if you aren’t at the office. VPN is only necessary if you are at home, or any facility that isn’t a TSMC.


TSMC Employee Access


You will need the following:

  • Be in front of your computer. 
  • Have an active internet connection. 
  • Have your smart phone.

 

  1. On your Smart Phone, ensure that the Ping ID app is downloaded and configured. If the Ping ID app is installed and configured, please move to Step 2.  If the app has not been installed, please follow these steps:
    1. App StoreOn your mobile device, open the iPhone Apps Store (), search for PingID, and tap Install.
    2. Copy and paste this link into your Chrome browser: https://desktop.pingone.com/savemart/
    3. Sign in if prompted with your Active Directory employee ID and password. 
    4. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the website and select iD Devices.

 

 

e. Click on +Add.  This will prompt an MFA authentication request using either email or Desktop Windows App

 

 

f. Use preferred method to authenticate 

 

g.This generates a QR code and pairing code.

  1. (If your screen does not look like the image below, click on the +Add again)


 

 

h. Open the PingID app on your phone, accept all prompts and scan the generated QR code displaying on your computer.

 

 


 

 

 

i. Complete your profile by choosing a Nickname:

 

 


2. On your computer, navigate to Start > All Programs > Cisco > Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and open the program called Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

 

  1. If this program is missing, please contact the Support Desk. 

 

3. On your computer, the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client window will open. In the box to the left of the Connect button, type: smartconnect.savemart.com. Click on the Connect button.

 

 

4. On your computer, a Username and Password screen appears. Your Active Directory account will be used here. For the Username, enter your Employee Number. In the next field, 

    enter in the Password associated with your Employee Number:

  

 

5. On your computera new screen appears asking to select a device. Please select your preferred authentication device by number and press continue:

 

 

6. If you selected your Smart Phonedepending on how the phone is configured, you will receive the following Push Notifications: 

  1. An authentication notification requesting for a fingerprint:

 

 

 

 

b. An authentication notification requesting for an Approve or Deny:

 

 

7. If you selected Email, an authentication code will be sent to your email:

 


 

 

c. On your computera new screen will open for you to enter the OTP code. Enter in the code and select Continue:

 

 

8. If you selected Desktop, search for PingID on your computer and launch the App. 

 

 

c. Enter the authentication code in the AnyConnect Client prompt:

 

 


 

9. If successful, on your Computer, the VPN AnyConnect Client will display Connected:
