Use Case
For stores that need to have holiday meal items removed from the console. These would be Out-Of-Stock items
3 steps are needed to ensure an item is not available to order immediately.
- OOS UI item selection
- Console Product Management item update
- Fresh Service Ticket (if needed) for Instacart offerings
OOS UI Item Selection
A out of stock user interface is available for making updates to the out of stock items. It is important to note that the link is accessible from the office or store when you are on company LAN. If you are not on company LAN you will need to sign on to VPN in order to access the link below.
The updates will Run nightly. This will update the feed and ensure that console will not repopulate as an item being available
Steps.
- Open Production Out of Stock website by using the below link. (make sure you are on company network)

You will see the home screen.
2. Use the drop down box to find your store number and select. The item list will update.
3. Find the item number and ensure UPC and Product match the item you would like to mark as out of stock and check the box. You can select multiple items if needed.
4. Click the submit button to update the items.
Console Product Management
- Log into Console
- Select Products--àProduct Management
3. Under Services, select Prepared Products
4. In the search bar, search for the item name that needs to be made inactive
5. Click on the item that needs to be updated
6. Change the status of the item, from active to inactive
7. A popup window will ask you to confirm- select yes to accept and the product will be saved as inactive removing it immediately from online. This is only for immediate removal. OOS UI also needs to be used in step 1 to ensure the product stays removed from holiday meals.
Fresh Service ticket
For the following items please submit a fresh service ticket to remove from Instacart either by calling the helpdesk or through using the Fresh Service application.

The process is now complete. The following day the items that are marked out of Stock will be removed preventing any new orders from being created for that item.
If you would like to add an item back as being offered, you can go back through the OOS UI, and uncheck an item. This will add it back to the feed the following day. If you would like an item to immediately be available, you can make the product active again using same process in console. If there are any issues with this process you can submit a fresh service ticket and assistance will be provided.
Note: if you have marked as out of stock, submitted it, and the item is still showing online the following day please call the helpdesk to submit an urgent ticket.
