YubiKey devices such as the one pictured above are special security tokens or fobs that are designed to enhance the security of your account. In order use your YubiKey to authenticate when logging in, it first must be linked to your company account. This document will walk you through the steps to link your assigned YubiKey device to your company PingID account.


Device Registration Procedure:


Step 1: Navigate to https://desktop.pingone.com/savemart and log in with your employee number and windows login password.


Step 2: Once you have logged in find your name and user icon in the top right corner of the webpage. Click it and select 'Devices'.


Step 3: You'll see a screen similar to this one. You may already have one or more devices/email addresses registered and displayed here. Click the "+ Add" button.


Step 4 (optional): If you already have a device or email associated with PingID you may be requested to authenticate with it prior to adding a new device. In that event the following screen will appear. Click continue and follow the on-screen instructions to authenticate with the mechanism previously registered.



Step 5: A popup will open within the webpage like the one depicted here. Click the 'YubiKey' icon on the bottom:


Step 6: The following popup will appear. Plug your YubiKey device into an available USB port on your computer. Wait 10 seconds for it to load properly and then tap the golden colored touch point on the YubiKey.


Step 7: You'll be returned to the 'My Devices' screen and should now see your YubiKey device successfully registered in the list.


Step 8 (optional): If you already had devices registered be sure to set your YubiKey as the primary authentication method by clicking the 'Primary' slider on that row.


Registration Complete:

Your device is now registered and ready to be utilized for multi-factor authentication! You may log out of the PingID portal and begin utilizing your YubiKey security token the next time an MFA security challenge is required.


When logging in and prompted with an MFA challenge you should be presented with a choice of device. Ensure that your YubiKey is selected (Green Highlight to the left) and click "Sign On".
